Felovadedlol

Felovadedlol is BRRP's unofficial dressing room. Felovadedlol - sometimes called fodlol - cropped up a few months after V7OC ended, when several people in the comm talked about how it would be fun to continue playing characters after the end of a version. Since then, Felovadedlol has had posts from pre-game, post-game, and pulled from AUs, with characters from several different versions participating and interacting, sometimes at the same time.

How to Post

1. Join felovadedlol with the character journal(s) you want to post under.
2. Wait for a handful of people from the comm to be online and bored. (This is not difficult.)
3. Submit an LJ post to felovadedlol and link it to them.
4. ???
5. Profit.

• Successful Felovadedlol posts are almost always started when multiple people are online and have time to kill. No one likes it when someone starts a post and then has to leave a few minutes later or starts one despite being busy or unwilling to respond to tags, because, of course, the post is hard to keep going.

• Thread hopping: use it in moderation. Too much, and the post can get really chaotic and confusing to the participants. Not to mention: having your character jump into every single conversation taking place in a post for no reason just makes everyone else annoyed. Use common sense, basically.
  

Times it's okay to thread hop: When you want your character to start a (1) conversation with another character who has also commented on the post; when your character is mentioned in another thread and you want your character to react; when another character says something particularly shocking or hilarious in a thread and you can't pass up having your character react.

• It's generally considered polite to let people know whether you're playing from pre-game or post-game when you post, either in an ooc note or by telling people in chat. If it's obvious in the post itself, this step isn't really necessary, though.

Felovadedlol is

• A dressing room. This means that any character connected to br_roleplay_2 can be played there - this includes dead PCs, still-living PCs, NPCs, siblings, characters pulled from sidestories, and even genderbent characters (hey, it happened once).
• A universe in which timelines make absolutely no sense. Seriously. Characters from different versions can talk to each other and all be taken from pre-game one day - the next, half of those same characters can be taken from post-game while the others are still pre-game.

Felovadedlol is NOT

• Officially affiliated with BRRP. So if someone does something you don't like, take it up with them, not with the mods.
• Meant to be used exclusively for pregaming or as an alternative to posting in your future character's LJ. Pregaming a future version there is fine from time to time, but if you want your character to update on a near-daily basis talking about their life, do it in their personal LJ. You might not get as many comments that way, but that's life.
• Meant to be taken seriously at all.
